Kyle Lee 2006-2009
Kyle Lee is a very talented, determined, and passionate guy. He came in here with an awesome mohawk and a ton of drive. We started right in learning how to decipher the guitar neck.. Kyle loved music theory, and got a lot of joy from understanding it. Inside of a few weeks he convinced me he was for real. I brought him into the Immortals in Sept., 2006. He helped lead the Immortals music class and really helped show the other kids what it meant to feel it. He always led by example, never failing to be ready to perform. He played so many memorable gigs with the Immortals. These included Six Flags DC, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland OH. Kyle received a scholarship to The Univ. of the Arts in Phila., PA after graduation from Loudoun Valley High School in 2009. He is learning more and honing his art form every day. He is a wonderful example of how anything is possible if you want it bad enough. His respect for others, patience and kindness are a huge part of who he is and why he's a successful musician. I miss him and am reminded of him every day in here...

A true man amoung musicians and a real artist through and through Jamie Dahlman will definitely be heard from in this world. What talent and what determination you have my friend. Jamie played in a way I know I'll rarely ever see. His timing is fabulous...what I call "right now" timing. His speed was phenomenal too. What he couldn't play instantly he stayed on till he got it. I was blessed to teach Jamie 2006, 2007, 2008. It was a time that I could never forget. I'm happily haunted by his presence every day. From the cool graffitti in my studio to the sound of his music still playin' in my head. He helped shape this business into what it is today and was a great role model for my young students. Jamie is a freshman at Virginia Commonwealth University (class of 2012). He's happily studying in their Arts program. Good luck at VCU Jamie, you are the best of the best. You have always meant so much to me.

Lily Cousland 2006-2009
Lily graduated from Loudoun Valley High in 2009 and is now studying at NOVA looking to get herself ready to attend a major university and study music. Lily is an immense talent. She took a little while to come out of her shell and show us all, but when she did it was fabulous. She started with bass guitar lessons in 2006. She did a super job and was invited to join the Immortals in 2007. She began singing and song writing very soon. She wrote the great Immortals song "Can't Help Myself Anymore," that thrilled audiences for two years. Lily's passion for music and life moved me. I am her biggest fan. I see Lily as a songwriter and performer who could truly connect with her audience. She has the unique ability to get others to feel what she's feeling. She is very much missed by her classmates in the Immortals and me.

David was a regular in my life for almost 4 years(2005 to 2008). I saw him every Friday night until the young ladies took over the Fridays in his life! We then had a Tuesday night music club... Dave grabbed concepts quickly and has a determination that is unmatched. Once he knows what he wants, he wills it to happen. David is currently (Jan 2009) a Midshipmen at the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis (Class of 2012), and he is #1 out of 1283 in his class. I am particularly honored and proud of the small part I played in his growth. Stand Tall David!! You are where you belong....

Sarah Fletcher has fabulous timing! Wow...set your watches by this girl. I didn't teach it to her, she already had it when we met in '06. Sarah took lessons here 2006, 2007 and 2008. She was the reason the Polaroids went from 0 to 60 in a couple weeks. She brought a great group of musicians together fast because they stuck to her like glue. I loved teaching Sarah and miss our Fridays. I especially loved watching her joy when the band was rockin' hard. I know that she'll be successful at whatever she does in this world. Believe in yourself Sarah...I would NEVER bet against you. I will never forget the "goddess" fill at Youthfest '08. You did it!!

John was my first student. Crazy to think about. The first $20 his mom gave me in '04 hangs on my wall! John loves to play. He loves it cause he enjoys himself. He never tried to impress anybody, but impressed me nonetheless. By the time he left for college he was a true "heady" bass player who knew how to steer things with his playing. His timing was impeccable and his singing had started coming out of nowhere. I am so proud to have known you John. Thanks for your attention, dedication and friendship. I mention you with great pride. John is currently a Freshman at Shepherdstown University in WV. They are lucky to have him!
